I feel like this the exact opposite of what the original was going for and in my opinion, the old one is better.

Yeeeeah. It's true though. I didn't have as many options or possibilities back then as I do today. Back then, it was the feel I was going for, with MIDI as my only option. Not to mention I lacked the knowledge at this point to go through and touch the sound up and make it more realistic. I remember when I figured that out that so much more would open up for me

I would like to revisit this level at some point. I can do better, 15 years have passed.
